Anyway, there is a battle raging over (most of) the internet about what game is better, inFamous or Prototype. Not because I'm a fanboy, but because I've played both, I lean towards inFamous. It's just a more polished, detailed game. Prototype is fun, but thats all. Just a fun kill-fest. I dunno. Everyone is freaking out at Gamesradar because Prototype scored higher. Go flame, or support your blade-armed hero. Have fun ;D

Waiting for Dissapointment

So I'm replaying FFVII on my PC, preparing to not hear the same thing that I don't hear every E3. They're not going to remake FFVII for the PS3. It seems almost ridiculous to even theorize that they have plans for it as much as they deny it. However, every time they deny, they seem to say something along the lines of "The Compilation of Final Fantasy VII is not over yet." Those teasing bastards... but anyway, Sony said this year's announcements at their press conference would be the biggest in 11 years. Hmmm...we know they're going to make a big deal about the PSP Go, but that has nothing to do with 11 years and neither would a redesign for the PS3. Final Fantasy VII was released in late 1997, so it hasn't been 12 years yet. Could this be it? Also, on Square-Enix's TGS posters it said "We hope to meet Final Fantasy VII again!" Besides sounding like terrible "Engrish" it also hints at a remake. They make me so damn mad. Final Fantasy XII wasn't all that great to me, and now that they're just pissing off their fans, Square-Enix is losing a lot of credibility. What are they doing, I mean? Waiting until they get in a real financial slump and then release this money-maker? Well, I guess we'll see in two days. I wouldn't get my hopes up......well....I always do v_v

Do Forum Posters Even Play Video Games?

Wow. Most people have probably already took notice of this or realized it, but it really hit me today. I was looking through the codes for Metal Gear Solid 4 unlockables on GameSpot when I decided to take a peek at the forums. Is it just me, or do the people who frequent the forums of a particular game ALWAYS have detailed lists of things they hate about it? Of course, I loved Metal Gear Solid 4 and I would never say a cross word about it. It ranks among one of my favorite games of all time. And I'm not saying it's all the people; some people there actually love the game and want to discuss both it's strengths, weaknesses and plot points. But some people are not. They hate the game and nothing about it pleases them. I'm not talking about the people who just say "This game sucks". I mean people who genuinely hate it. Why in God's name would you go to this game, click on forum and want to talk with people who enjoyed it? I can understand if you just want to express your opinion, but if you just want to tell everyone on the internet you hate this game and don't give a damn what they say.....well fuck you. Seriously. With sandpaper. Alright? I mean, wow. Video games are my life, but I don't take them THIS seriously. Why don't you go talk about something you like? Like....men, for instance?

Street Fighter IV Strategy: Ken

That pretty much explains it... xD

But seriously, Ken is fundamentally similar to Ryu, however he does much better up close. His hadoken, although being the exact same command, seems harder to pull off, and much less effective. But when you get close and pull off a combo and end it with a flaming shoryuken, it's so satisfying. It's hard to decide between Ken and Ryu. But Ryu is basically a thinking, ranged fighter, and Ken is an up-close brawler.

If you want to know how to pull off Ken's specials, see my Ryu strategy below.

General// Ken is good at pulling off quick combos and jumping in to follow up. His Flaming Shoryuken is really, really powerful. If you spam it, prepare to be yelled at, or to be challenged to a real Street Fight xD Use is sparingly and mostly to link combos or end them. It can also be used to quickly catch someone who happens to be getting up.

Combos//Ken's combos are pretty much the same as Ryu's, but his spin kick is a much better link, and not an ender. Use it in the middle of a kick combo to get an enemy further back and follow up with a punch to Shoryuken. Gets em' everytime ;D

SUPER!// Ken's super is also extremely easy to use, and is best used in the middle of a good combo. If you get this after using a normal shoryuken, it is AWESOME. You basically wreck the opponent, and leave them lying at the corner of the screen. Use this time to fire off an EX-Hadoken to finish them off with enough damage to kill them even when blocking ;D

ULTRA!!// Ken's ultra, is one of the hardest to use in the entire game. The controls are fairly simple, but you have to be very close, and you have to connect with the first hit. Wait for an opening in your opponent's defense, or wait for them to do something stupid, like try to jump kick you. This is a PERFECT opportunity.

I've been playing the hell out of Street Fighter IV and it can be pretty tough at times. Unless you're a Street Fighting Jesus (like me >.>). I figured I'd help you guys out with the most popular characters. We'll start off with my personal fave, Ryu.

So anyway, he's not that hard to figure out. The most simple in fact, besides Ken.
SPECIALS:

*\Means diagonal right. / Means diagonal left ;) *
Hadoken:↓\→ P
Shoryuken:→\↓→ P
Spin-Kick:↓/← K
Shinku Hadoken (SUPER!): ↓\→ ↓\→ P
Matsu Hadoken (ULTRA!): ↓\→ ↓\→ PPP

General//: Ryu isn't as good up close as Ken is, but he plays the ranged game a lot better. He's really good at getting his opponent where he wants them and letting lose. You can pull off some good combos, ending them with a shoryuken or a hadoken, but then it's best to back off for a bit, fire off a few hadokens, and wait for your next opening. HOWEVER, watch out for people who take advantage of your recovery time. It doesn't take long to shoot one, but good players can take advantage of this time. Wow, that sounded dirty >.>

Combos//: I often alternate between punch buttons and high and low before ending with a shoryuken, which knocks them back. This gives you time to back off and think of your next move. If you end with a Hadoken, be sure that you block, because if not they will surely ruin you. You stay pretty close after a successful Hadoken combo...
Another good strategy is to jump and use your H Kick. After this, you can follow up with a low HKick/ Sweep or a Medium Kick to a spin kick. These are really good basic combos.

SUPER and ULTRA//: Ryu's super is ridiculously easy to pull off. I usually do it accidentally during a combo >.> This is actually the best time to use it. Mid-combo, an enemy can't block, and you're sure to hit them with all the hits.
The Ultra, is however, a bit different. Ryu's ultra is best used either when you see someone is about to hit you, or someone is jumping at you. Ryu's ultra is best used as a punishment for when another fighter uses their ultra and misses. Then let lose on them. The next best thing is to learn how to pull off focus attacks really good, and then use that to set yourself up for an ultra.

Resident Evil 5: News and Hype

Honestly, after the first few trailers for Resident Evil 5, I was unimpressed. The animations looked the same, there was little gameplay difference from RE4, and the story seemed shallow. But now, with this new gameplay footage, and the new trailers released, I am REALLLLY looking forward to it. The enemies show wounds, their animations are improved, hand to hand combat seems easier to pull off, and may be possible without a button prompt, and co-op is a great new addition. Annnnnnnnnnnnd, it's released right around my birthday.... coughcoughcoughhintcoughcoughhintcough

Not much has been going on in the gaming world, lately. Christmas is over, and hopefully you've gotten what you've wanted, and probably beaten it three times over. Now you know what it's time for! Gaming new years resolutions. I think mine is to finally get the Platinum trophy for Fallout 3. Or to create a LittleBigPlanet level cool enough to publish and let the world play. Or maybe to actually save up my money (and not instantly splurge it as I always do) to make SURE I can buy Resident Evil 5 on day one. What's yours?

Home (Open Beta >.>) Released Tomorrow

The new free LittleBigPlanet costume is holiday related, just as the turkey-on-head for Thanksgiving. It is cute, no doubt. Also, Street Fighter costumes are soon to be released. Sweet indeed, but the set of Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, and Zangief will put you back 5.99. But I think it would be worth it to have your sack person with both his hands forward in a level where you have designed "HADOKENS!" to fly trhough the area xD

LittleBigPlanet Review ;D

I was one of the few PS3 owners that approached this title with a bit of reluctance. I only got it because someone was nice enough to buy it FOR me xD It just looked...too cute, too cuddly, and not varied enough for my tastes. Sure, you can make your own levels. I can make my own levels on old Tony Hawk games and RPG Maker. Sure you run around in a fun platformer, but I have Mario and Ratchet for that, thank you. Sure the characters look huggable, but I have my pillow for that... T_T

I was shocked when I began to play it. The intro starts and you are in a blank world. Just you and Mr.Sackboy. The narrator is witty and charming and introduces you to the world of knitted people. This documentary is an example of just some of the humor of LBP. Here are two sack people makin' love. xD

In all seriousness, this game is extremely fun. I can sit here and go through every little detail, but I'd rather you have an epiphany just as I did. Basically the world is a playground full of physics and creativity, being run through by your lovable, completely customizable, Sephiroth and Solid Snake, to Loco Roco, Sackpeople. You can play online, which leads to real fun with up to 4 players! This game supports trophies and has plenty of them. There are SOOOOOOOOO many ways to make your own level, and I've seen levels ranging from recreations to the first level of Metal Gear Solid and Mirror's Edge, to a Ninja Warrior competition stage, to just a skateboard ramp with all the sizes you could ever choose from. It's simply amazing and if you buy it, you'll see.

I can't really explain how this game appeals to me. I guess I would just say...it's FUN.

Fallout 3 Review!

If you like RPGs, big decisions, good, evil, gore, guns, dark humor, or alternate reality, you have something to add to your wish list. This game has it ALL. Jesus CHRIST!

The image above is of course, the box art. But uh, I had to let you all know that I have a big cardboard display of this guy that stands 5 and a half ft tall in my room. I think my life is complete.

**ANYWAY-This game is gorgeous. The characters are detailed and realistic and they look even better in my opinion, bloody and dismembered. Bullets zing through the air, lasers zap past your face, and then you see the Super Mutant's head go flying off his shoulders as you shoot your old, taped up barely usable Hunting Rifle through his face. Everything is seemingly detailed and I only noticed a couple bland pieces of land that were untextured. There are graphical jumps at times, usually including animal enemies. HOWEVER, this may be due to the fact that I'm playing the PS3 version. Word around the -world- is that it's quite glitch filled, but the graphical ones are all I've noticed so far.

Sound//-
The music in this game is great, and the voice-overs are great. If you've played Oblivion, you'll even notice a couple returning actors. Unlike Oblivion though, you won't meet the same voiced person every couple seconds, and there definitely arn't as many sound glitches. I loved the roar of the Super Mutants, the loopy voice of the owner of Crater Side Supply, and the 1950's music. I didn't think anything would ever get me to listen to that....

Gameplay//-This game is extremely fun, and although there is a bit of the same, there is a hell of a lot of variety. Using VATS (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System) to shoot individual body parts of enemies adds strategy to just blasting away at enemies, and adds an awesome slow-mo vision of a shot that often blows off a limb. It's so satisfying, no matter how many times you see/ do it. There is plenty to do other than the main quest, and now there are two different mini-games (unlocking and hacking). You get so many different guns, and there are so many different effects. All I can say is that it's amazing and RPG, FPS, and people who just enjoy a good story will love this game.

Story//- I won't reveal all that much, but I must say this is one of the best, and best presented, storylines I've ever played through. You arrive in the world of Fallout just as you arrived in the one you live in. In a hospital after just being born. You later play through your childhood in aged intervals until you reach 19. Btw, this entire time you've lived in an underground Vault that protected it's residents from the nuclear war that went on outside and destroyed (for the most part) the world.Your father has left and the Vault dwellers believe that you're involved, so you have to escape. You do, and arrive in the outside world, and thats when you notice it's barren and dead...From here, you can search for your father, or do what you please. From there on, it gets quite deep...

Resistance 2 (R2) Trailer Kicks Serious Arse

O_O Resistance:Fall of Man was awesome. The multiplayer was amazing. But can you just imagine the epic 60+ battling in this game? The awesome story-driven, Chimera-infected Nathan Hale in more polished graphics than the first? Battling smarter, stronger, neck biting Ch. Soldiers? I didn't do much game-wise today. I'm at the Temple of the Ancients on FFVII, and I've just got Stealth on MGS4. REMINDER! Soldiers can still hear you on MGS4 when you're using stealth. So know that they can't see you, but don't be blantantly, obviously catchable. And I've been playing my PS3 on my dad's Emerson ™ LCD HDTV and it's given me a whole new look at my PS3. It's pure amazing. I've finally seen the meaning of High Definition. So tomorrow I'll see whats up in the gaming world, other than mine, and fill you in. See you guys later! Cloud out!

MGS4 Face Camo and About Oblivion (I know the game is old, but it's an accomplishment) =D

Many said it was impossible, many said I was insane, or addicted. Well the last two statements are true...but anyway, today, I finshed the main quest of the game. That's a small task, but not only did I complete that, but the Mage's Guild Quests, Fighters Guild Quests, Knights of the Nine Quests, Arena Battles, and all Misc. Town quests. Not all today mind you, but since my summer started. My fame is through the roof. Now I'm going to set out on beating all the evil or infamous quests with a different character. Then I'll probably beat MGS4 again and then i'll finish replaying FFVII.

MGS4- Yeah, I got Raiden's two face camouflage's and they are awesome. Now that he's the cyber ninja, he's no longer a pansy. His face goes supprisingly well with Snake's suit, and watching cutscenes is pretty enjoyable with a different character's face.

Do video games cause us to have increased aggression and lowered empathy? Or are politicians and bad parents just trying to pass the blame for todays violent, murdering society when they need to take responsibility and do their jobs?

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

The most famed PS3 exclusive so-far has finally been released. I'm not going to give ANY spoilers, so don't worry. Believe me, you'll want to find out every piece of the story yourself.

Gameplay// AMAZING! Everything from MGS3:SE has been refined and is 4x better! You'll sneak past PMCs as you're used to, shoot them up like never before (with weapons you can customize). You will just be blown away.

Sound//The music is as always, often urgent, and epic as well. It certainly fits the tone whenever its in the game. The guns and warfare sound awfully sweet, and it's overwhelming and beautiful yet you know....full of bullets hitting walls and flesh. But as George Washington said "There's something charming in the sound"

Story//Just as crazy, complex, and enjoyable and movie-like as any other MGS4, but it doesn't ask any more questions, it answers all the others. This is truely a conclusion to the past MGSs, but since they say they're will be more....still its amazing and begginners will have a simple goal, while veterans will recognize all the easter eggs and story parts.

Overall//This game is truely what MGS fans and all PS3 owners have been waiting for. I love it, and it is completely worth the 60 dollars. WAIT, I DIDN'T EVEN MENTION ONLINE! Wow, there goes another great reason. You'll always have someone to play with and it's great! I love playing against other people, testing my teamwork and stealthskills. Its...like being a ninja soldier....lol. I absolutely love this game....I can't stress it enough. This is on par with GTA IV, if not better. If you have a PS3...just buy it.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Review!

Wow...just wow. This game was worth every minute of the wait. I was lucky enough to have a GameStop store participating in the Midnight Launch and the tournament. I won the first match of the tournament and lost in the second match to some guy using Ike. I was Link of course :) I got my game then and stayed up till 4:30am playing the game. I had to FORCE myself to go to sleep. I love this game. I just love this game.
*As a side note, I edited these pictures. Don't think it looks like that lol. I just wanted to make them look cool. And I made Sonic purple because against Link, he's a wuss :\

Graphics//-For the Wii, this game's graphics are superb. This is nearly next-gen stuff. Animations are great, stages look awesome, and your characters are easily recognizable and look arguably better than ever.

Sound//-The music is effing epic. Nearly all the tunes are remixes of songs that even casual gamers should recognize from early Nintendo games. Metal Gear Solid even has some tunes from earlier games, and a remix of the MGS4 theme. Every character is pretty much mute (this is a fighting game..) but they grunt, yell, etc. and you'll know which character it is just from the yell. Its nostalgic, and just great, at the same time.

Multiplayer/Online//-Multiplayer is the most beloved part of all the Super Smash Bros. games. Sitting down with 3 friends, picking your favorite Nintendo video game character and throwing down is as easy as ever, but more fun than ever before. Online is great, and usually lag free. Loading and waiting times are pretty long, but playing online is great.

Gameplay//-This game is amazing. It can be simple and accssesable for beginners,or an elite player can strategize. Either way, you'll have fun, and there are plenty of modes to enjoy. All your favorite characters are here, and the roster is actually pretty balanced. There are so many stickers and trophies to collect, characters to unlock, a storymode to beat, a mode letting you play previews of old NES and SNES games, a photo-taker (and saver), and savable replays. This game will keep you busy for AWHILE!

Overall//-If you have a Wii, get this. You will definitely not regret it. It is truely a great game, and a Nintendo masterpiece. It gives you that....I dunno..that Nintendo feel. I guess you can just call it greatness... 10/10

Super Smash Bros. Brawl has taken all my time. That and my new girlfriend <3. Rest assured though, this place still isn't abandoned. I've got 702 hits right now. I'm too far to quit now. No More Heroes Review

This game, put quite frankly, kicks all other games, in their (if they had them) balls, and tells them to shut up. It also won't let me stop playing it. You need-ta buy this game if you have a Wii, and here, is why.

*Graphics- Extremely good to be a Wii game. The cel-shading sets it apart from other games, and helps to smooth out how the game would look if it was merely put to the Wii's graphical normal 3-D limits. Colors are violent, blood SPEWWWSS everywhere, coins pop all over the screen, mayhem ensues, and it all looks great.

*Sound- The voice acting is top notch, and captures each character's quirky personality. I often got tired of Sylvia's Wii-phone conversations (you actually lift your Wii-mote to your ear and listen with its speaker ^-^) but it barely bothered me. The screams of enemies are loud and somewhat disturbing but as you take out the other two, you just crave more death...or is that just me...? 5/5

*Story- One of my favorite parts, definitely. Smart, funny, akward, weird, and much more, you'll want to finish the game not only for the fun, but to see what will happen next and what you'll here. Travis's motivation is to become number 1 just because he can, and for the fact he'll possibly get laid...Best Hero Ever eh? 5/5

*Gameplay- You'll have a very high body count by the end of the game, you'll make loads of money, you'll become the best assassin of all time, you'll mow a law, collect trash, ride a giant motercycle called the Shleiptiger, and...gather...coconuts? Sound odd? Well you take a dump to save the game. Indeed. Sound like a chore? Trash collecting not your thing? But really, you'll enjoy every minute. Battling is extremely fun, and you finish every enemy with one final Wii-mote swing. All other forms of fight are done with button presses. Its beautiful and bloody at the same time. All the jobs are very cool, and you'll enjoy them. Boss fights are epic and really cool, especially seeing Travis finish them. The only part I didn't really like was driving through the city. *Overall- This is one of the best games out for the Wii right now. Probably my favorite. Its so weird, yet I love it so much. I still enjoy it, and I've beaten it. Please buy it, I want it to sell well so we'll get a sequel. Its that good.

Unreal Tournament 3 Review

To sum it all up quickly, this game f'ing kicks arse. Those are the only words to describe it. No, I cannot use any language below "slightly offensive" to tell you about it. So don't ask meh, cause I won't. It will blow your hands off, and then you'll go retrieve them so you can keep playing.

*Graphics-This game is definitely one of the best looking ones of the PS3 to date. It is completely insane. From the Rockets firing in the air to the BioRifle charging up, your eyes will soak up every bit of it. All the details are taken care off, and the camera will even slightly blur when you turn very hard. I've gotten killed plenty of times just staring in wonderment at some of the sick effects. 5/5

*Sound- The guns all sound powerful and deadly. The death-crys of your enemy are quite satisfying as well. The taunts are voiced well, and who doesn't love the announcer? DOUBLE KILLLLLL!!! 5/5

*Story- I can't say much on the story (I havn't beaten the game) but from what I've played, it seems sub-par. With the amazing gameplay, a good story to match could make this game rival Halo (IMO). It just seems tacked on for people who can't play online... 3/5

*Gameplay- Story Mode is fun. Online Mode is ADDICTIVE. I have played this game so much...you would not believe...it is extremely fun. Each gun has it's different strengths and weaknesses, and has at LEAST 2 modes of fire (the RocketLauncher has 4!). Some weapons seem extremely overpowering, but if you're a good player, you can walk into a firefight with an Enforcer (pistol) and kill a guy with a Rocket Launcher (you hafta know how to dodge ^-^). There are Deathmatches, Team Deathmatches, Capture the Flag, Vehicle Capture the Flag (featuring some of the coolest rides you'll ever see in an FPS), Duel (1vs1) and Warfare (all out battling with bases). Its mindblowing, its 50% skill, its 50% luck, its 100% frickin' awesome. 5/5

*Overall- Together this package is nearly perfect. BUT, Online Mode is this games humongous fun factor. Story Mode is decent, but no where near as fun as online. I give this game a ***9/10*** for Online enabled PS3 owners. I give it a ***7.5/10*** for those without online capabilities ^_^

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core Coming Mar. 25 for PSP!

Omg indeed, the game that might have never came out in America has a release date. It shows Zack's story before the events of Final Fantasy VII and even shows more information about a character that there has been much rumoring about, Genesis. If you don't know who he is, I'll give you a link so you can see him.

*On a side note, Genesis is modeled after Gackt, the famous Japanese pop-star. I think he voices em' too...

The first Phantasy Star Universe for the Xbox360 and PlayStation 2 recieved "ok" ratings from nearly everyone. You might not care, I mean its a PSone game, but if you can, you MUST play it!

Lets cut to the chase...

Graphics//-The game (for a PlayStation game..) looks great. Everything is beautiful, and environments teem with life and townspeople. Your characters and enemies are well represented in battle, and special attacks look sweeeeet.

Sound//-Have you ever heard Angels sing? Well forget that, play Chrono Cross. The music is captivating. This game has arguably the best music in any RPG (or any game) ever. Sound work well and happen when they're supposed to. Perfect.

Battle//- There is no other battle system like this. Completely orginal. You assign elements to your character and some are one use, some are multiple, and you have a percentage of attack left which you used to attack multiple times....its hard to explain, yet easy to pick up. Get the game, you'll see. Monsters are often challenging but not to hard and combat is fun. (It's been awhile and its hard to remember) but I think this game doesn't have random battles, or it has partial random battles, which is a plus to many gamers.

Story//-I don't want to reveal ANYTHING, I'll just say its great, fluid, twisty, and with the ability to grip your emotions. It -will- effect you.

Overall//-This game is truely a masterpiece, deserving of more praise than even everyone's favorite FF and DQ franchises. If you havn't played this game, you are definitely missing out. Please play it, if not buy it.

No More Heroes- Wii

In this new game fomr Suda 51 (the insane developer behind "Killer 7") you play as Travis Touchdown, an all American hero it seems. His last name is touchdown, you start the game off in a port-o-potty, he charges up his swords in a rather innuendo-ish way, and he got his beam katana (your main weapon) in an online auction. Rather likeable fellow, eh? So anyway, this game is promised to be one of those rare Nintendo titles that isn't for the kiddies. I will show you a picture now.

Indeed, he cut that man in half. I've seen much blood in the recent videos for the game, although this picture doesn't show it. It seems that the controlls arn't mindless Wii-slashing though. The A-button executes swords swings, B-button for wrestling moves, and Wiimotion for final attacks and finishers. Also, when you end up in a situation like

You move the Wiimote in a circular motion to push the enemy back. And oh yeah, here's a picture of Mister Touchdown, seeing as you'll get to know him soon if you have a Wii.

Devil May Cry Tokyo Game Show Trailer '07

Did I mention that everyone in the world should own this game. No, it doesn't matter if you have a console that plays it. Just buy it...there are several uses. Buy it and send it to me (How nice! ^-^), use it as a centerpiece, admire it, use it as a paperweight, a doorstop, use the box as a container for...ummm lettuce, or maybe even play it (I recommend the last one). It is going to be a MUST-HAVE title. Although I'm not too happy of it going to the 360, at least more people will get to enjoy the bad-arse that is Devil May Cry.

Resident Evil Extinction (Movie) and maybe... RE4-Movie

From what I've read and heard, this movie, is a failure. There are super-zombies, several people die, plot-lines are based on Alice's blood (if you don't know, Alice is a character who was never in any RE game, yet shes in the movie), the ending is inconclusive, and many likeable GAME characters, are dead. They need to stop making these movies, unless they completely base it on a game. These movies continue to sell well because us gamers want to see just how bad Uwe Boll and other directors can screw up a franchise for us. People who have never played the game are probably happy with it. Honestly, if they didn't link it with the RE world, I think it would be a pretty decent movie. These movies (RE) continuously get bashed by gamers and critics alike. The only hope I have left is an Resident Evil 4 based movie. LEON IS ALIVE? He may be dead in the RE-Apocolypse-Extinction line, but maybe this is a whole different ball game. Maybe this is the movie we've been looking for. A straight, game-movie, not just a movie. But all of this as you see, is a maybe. I've heard Jensen Ackles was asked about playing Leon. His role in the CW's Supernatural should have prepared him for the job, and something about him has always reminded me of Leon. I really hope this goes well (if it even happens). I love Re4, Leon, and Jensen as an actor. We'll just have to wait and see whether this is another disaster..

PS3 Controller

Just recently, I was playing Elder Scrolls Oblivion IV (and was having a whole bunchamaload of fun) when all of the sudden, my buttons had different functions. It was like my CIRCLE and TRIANGLE buttons had switched. And then my R1 started functioning for my R1! And then only my D-PAD and Left Analog stick worked! It was like the right side of my controller was just ripped off. I had to go without PS3-PS2-PS1 for an entire week. I actually plugged up my Super Nintendo during that time and replayed some classics. But I went to Wal-Mart and speant my savings of $50 on a controller. Luckily I got some reimbursement. I went to GameStop and asked if there was anything they could do to save my poor controller. Sadly, no, but I did get $18 dollars because it could be fixed, AT THE FACTORY. So I went straight ahead and speant the 18 bucks while I was there (I had beaten MGS3 several times but never owned it). I havn't heard of anyone else having a "half-working" controller. It was odd, but at least I'm back to playing my PS games...

Abandonment; Halo 3 Opinion

HALO3

Yes, it is a very good game. Yes it had guarenteed at least 1.8 million copies being sold, BEFORE its release... but...is it really THAT great? In my opinion, and from all my Halo 3 experience so far, I give it a 9.5/10. It's a great game, but it's not the greatest ever made. Honestly I prefer Gears of War over Halo 3. Ha, I can see the fanboys stabbing me with their Plasma Swords now. But I shall not fear, for I have my Assault Rifle/Chainsaw hybrid nearby....

Most of my info usually contains Sony, all the games I've talked about are PS3 or PS2 o-o. Sowwy. So now some Nintendo stuff. Besides the fact that I'm going to be bringing you some sweet, sweet Nintendo soon, I have a theory of mine I wish to tell you all. >.> <.< I read in some magazine, (probably EGM) that the creator of Mario said something to this context "I believe that soon there will be a gaming experience that will immerse and surround the gamer, and I'll say nothing more on the matter." That sounds an awwwwful lot like a console preview. Think Nintendo's cheap, sub-par graphic-ed game system is going to be followed up with a power-house? Are they coming up with a virtual system now? One of those helmet thingies that you put on and do what you want to happen in the game? This seems to be following suit of the Wii, (the Wiimote sensing your movements). It may not be their next console, but I bet you a couple dollars that one of their newwer consoles will somehow put you IN the gaming world. You just watch! Gawsh I'm smart... and don't flame me telling me I'm and idiot for thinking this, unless you use big entertaining words.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma Pictures and Info

Ninja Gaiden Sigma is an awesome game from what I've seen. I've only played the demo from the PlaysStation store. It's one of the most fun, and the most challenging games I've played for the PS3 yet. Normal mode is the quivilent of hard on most games, and hard is very hard, and so-on, and so-on. Seriously, this game is only for the best, and the people who enjoy a challenge. I've only been able to beat the demo on Normal and Hard, and I'm usually very good at beating any game... (such an expert I am ^_^). Once I buy it, if I do, I'll review it.

New Spider-Man info (New Goblin, and other stuff)

Looks like the people who bought the normal version (not the solid black collector's) of Spider-Man3 for the PS3. When you go to the PlayStation store (the PS3's online shop) you can download the playable "New Goblin". You can only play as him briefly if you don't have collector's edition, in the fight with Sandman. You control his glider with the SIXAXIS function of the PS3 controller! And it's awesome. It's good to see something that actually used the SIXAXIS quite well. But this download will cost you $7.99.. still saving you money from buying the collectors edition. And hey, the main thing that the collector's edition brought to the table is playable New Goblin, so besides it's collectable value, the collector's edition has just been erased from the shelves. What I mean is, why buy it, when you can save 2 dollars, by just downloading the "New Goblin"? Unless you just want the fancy case..>.>

BUT LET ME WARN YOU! The Goblin cannot be used to play through the entire story! The only thing you can do with him is enter races, and do criminal missions (I think..). But don't think you're getting a whole new entree, you're just getting an entertaining apetizer. For 8 bucks, this may not be worth it....

Unlockable----
This is one of the most obvious unlockables but I'll list it anyway, once you beat the game you unlock the Black Spider-Man suit for use as much as you want to. But when you have the PS2 version, you can use it at anytime anywhere, it just has a time limit.

You also unlock Arena mode upon completing the game.

I just purchased this game after a long....long...very long debate in my head. It was a tough decision, but I might have been right. It was "Should I get "The Darkness", or "Ninja Gaiden Sigma"? And I said, "Let there be Darkness!" and there was Darkness.....after I went and bought it from EB Games... Ok, on to the review! Hi-Ho Silver!

Graphics--------
The graphics are completely amazing, and that's an understatement. I wish I could show you a bigger picture of that Darkiling (<< I'll explain later) sawwing that nice man's neck. But as you can see from my past pictures, stuff get's cut off
:( And that was not a pun, on that poor thug's neck. I'll post more pictures anehway.. Back to the graphics, guns shine, everything seems to have textures, and people look so...so real. I was sad at the end, and shocked at every plot twist, not only because of the great storyline, but how everything seems so...it's hard to explain. It's like life in Jackie Estacado's (main character) shoes. And this is one of the few FPS's in which you can see your feet and legs. And the fact that you can change the lighting nearly everywhere by shooting out light sources is quite interesting, and a large element of the game. The graphics get a 4.9 out of 5. (There were a few mess-ups....)

Sound-----------
Zomg, this game has the most cussing I have ever heard, on anything, ever....ever! The F-word is dropped with no consequence, like it's no big (they ARE in the mob... >.>) there's the A word...the S word...the C word...(yes the C word). But if you've bought this game, you're probably adult anyway. Me myself, I'm 13, but I'm not one of those cases you'll see on Dateline of some kid running off and shooting some people and blaming a band and Grand Theft Auto. So don't worry about me ^_^. But anyway, the people that they casted for voicing are PROS. Everything is said right, clear, and just the right way. You'll feel like your enemies are scared, the DaRkNeSs'S chilling and shrill voice will make you shiver, and Jackie's scenes for load time's humor you, or fill you in on things you might have missed, or don't know. Guns sound satisfying as well. Sound gets a DaRk 5 out of 5.

Gameplay--------
Where do I start!? There's so much to do, and so much fun to be had. Okay, okay. I'll start with the basics, shooting to begin with. Gun-play is awesome, but I loved to get up-close and personal to use the execution moves, which ensure your adversary's painful demise (if you're just shooting, your foe is liable to fall down...AND GET BACK UP! Watch out for that!). It's also quite stylish. Every bullet that flows through the chamber produces a trail of smoke out of the barrel. It's those small things that make this game go from great, to a must-have. Early on in the game, you gain the legendary DaRkNeSs power. Two huge reptilian demon heads sprout out of your back/neck area, and reach around your shoulders, staying in your view as long as you're in DaRkNesS mode. Besides these things giving you a shield from bullets (it WILL fall eventually) you can summon "Darklings". This is the darling creature you see in the picture. There are 4 kinds. Berserker (general attack), Gunner (Comes with a gattling gun, smokes a cigar, and hates communists xD), Kamikazie (I think that's how you spell it lol...Well he runs to your nearest enemy and explodes), and the Lightkiller (shocks your enemy and takes out any light nearby). That reminds me, another important thing to do to maintain your DaRkNeSs, is to shoot out lights. Standing in light, or under a bright light, drains your invisible DaRkNesS meter. You can also .....devour the hearts of dead thugs to maximize your DaRkNeSs meter and possibly level you up (I had eaten 311 hearts by the end of the game). Your powers from DaRkNeSs include... Creeping Dark (crawls along the ground to unlock doors or look ahead, or even kill possible threats), Demon Arm (an arm which can move objects, impale foes, take out lights, or just whip around and look cool), Darkness Guns (a light automatic spark gun, and a friggin shotgun from hell type number which feed from your DaRkNeSs meter), and Black Hole (takes out any enemy in the area, and all the boxes, ect.). You also travel places via the subway, in which you can interact and help people out in. You can also call collectible phone numbers you find throughout the game using pay phones (He actually presses the number you choose, but you can barely tell). You actually call key characters in the story as well. I'll tell you more about gameplay when I give you tips, but that's all I can fit, and I have to go to bed lol. Gameplay gets a 5 out of 5. (I havn't tested Online Multiplayer yet, but I'll review that as well!)

Overall, this MUST-HAVE (Yes, if you have a PS3, buy it) game. I give it a 5 out of 5. And Storyline and Multiplayer Reviews coming soon, as well as pictures.

PS3 Games Coming At the End of the Year or Early 08'

Okay, I've been watching E3 stuff, and from what I can tell, here are some great games that will be out for the PS3.

RockBand- A game where all 4 elements of a band are playable (Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums) and you can create a logo, take your band online. Or, if you have no friends to make a band with, take your one instrument online, and form a band with people across the globe!

Final Fantasy XIII-Believed to be Early 2008- The game focuses around a girl code named "Lightning". She is supposedly modelled after Cloud Strife (FF7), yet female. Need I say more? I mean, it's a Final Fantasy game....

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots-Early 2008- This game features an old Solid Snake (the cloning process made him age rather fast). Your mission is to exterminate "Liquid" who once again takes the form of Ocelot's arm. Raiden is back, and less annoying than ever, decked out in his new Cyber Ninja armor, and the ability to take down several Metal Gears with nothing but a sword. Vamp seems to be in this game as well (he's friggin' immortal, right?). The graphics are amazing, and I'll soon post one of the epic trailers.

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune-This Fall- This "Indiana Jones"-esque (yet cooler, and it doesn't feel like you're some old dude who is thought of as "Badass" by 60 year old men and women) is one of the most anticipated exclusives for the PS3 (along with the two above it). It's made by the company you know and love for bring you Crash Bandicoot. And plenty of that sweet, sweet, platforming gameplay shows through here. But wait, there's more! Not only is there jumps from place to place, swinging on vines, and running through amazingly beautiful locations, but there's fighting, brutal, fun, fighting. As well as shooting! And good shooting from what I've seen of it. I have this trailer downloaded on my PS3 and I watch it often. I can't wait for it.

John Woo's Stranglehold-I'm not sure =(- Mix a Chinese Max Payne, with Jackie Chan. What do you get? John Woo. And his game looks to be amazing. Lots of environmental objects are vital to stylishly and effectively kill your enimies, with plenty of that Bullet Time (slo-mo) that you love. For instance, you can slide down a handrail, on a tray. That my friend, is creative. And the slow motion and spinning is so Max Payne-ish, that people have used shots of Stranglehold where you can't see John Woo's face, and used it in a fake Max Payne 3 trailer. That's what I'm talkin' bout. And there's supposedly some storyline and stuff...and I love that, but with this much action and gunning, will there be room?

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Stuff

1. The Crazy Little Frog Things

As you progress through the game, I'm sure that you'll see AT LEAST one of these small green frog figure...things. When you shoot them, or knife them, or kick them, etc., the frog says "WAGA WAGA, WAGA WAGA!", like a faulty toy. Anyway, they may seem just like a little joke or gimmick, but they're quite the opposite. If you shoot every single one in the game, you'll get the "Stealth" camo, which makes ou invisible, nearly assuring an insanely high camo rating. I'll post the locations of all the frogs sometime. It depends on the demand for them.

2.The Patriot

Once you beat the game, you should have an automatic gun that's extremely loud, and characterized by it's two circular...bulletholdermajiggers. And according to the game, that makes the gun have infinite ammo. o-o Doesn't make sense, but I'll settle with it. You can use it anytime during the game, and it's effective on pretty much all enemies. Unless you're shooting for a good rank, USE IT!

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Tips and Tricks

Ring Duplication Trick-PS3 ONLY: Get two of the same rings, preferably expensive ones. Then, equip both and sell one to a merchant. Instead of selling it (removing it from your inventory), the ring will be un-equiped. So you could go right back to your inventory, equip the ring, and "sell" it again.

Spider-Man 3 Review

Spider-Man 3______________________________

So far, I've seen all bad reviews for Spider-Man 3, on all systems. But I've heard from individuals that it was good. Well, all I can do is give you MY honest opinion. Alright, lets go with headings again ^_^

The Graphics
The graphics (I'm reviewing the PS3 version) are VERY good. Buildings are detailed, designs are textured well, and windows are shiny and reflective (shinyness always makes me happy). The ONLY problem I had with the graphics was the people... they look pretty good, but some of the random people's eyes....they make me think they're going to fall out... and that scares me. Graphics get a 4/5.

Controls
The controls flow well, and resemble past games except a few new extra features, such as the God Of War esque action sequences, and the new Spider Reflexes and the Spider Senses. Everything works pretty well together. I've gotten used to them and they mesh so greatly, when I played other games I tried to jump and web-sling v_v'.
Controls get 5/5.

Sound
The sounds comes together well with the graphics, to create a living, breathing, New York city. Everything sounds well too. There are a few hiccups where something is said at the wrong time or whatever. But it's nice, overall.
Sound gets 3 1/2 out of 5.

Gameplay
This is the game's problem...but I'll start off with the good. Webslinging, the essential part of the game, is great, and hardly ever gets old, not with all the additions to it: Wall running, sky tricks, speed upgrades, web-zip, fast building runs, double webbed swinging, and huge jumps. Fighting, isn't GREAT, but it's GREATLY improved compared to the last two games. Several awesome combos are included, but only 3 buttons are used for attacking, and you can't block, for you must "dodge" using Spider Reflexes with the R1 button. Fighting bosses is fun in the action sequences, but is otherwise frustrating and repetative (because you die so much). Navigating and progressing through the game is pretty much easy once you get the hang of it. The action sequences that require button presses and are very cool and stylized, as well as fun.
Gameplay gets a 3 1/2 out of 5.

This is a pretty good game, that's fun for awhile anyway. If you're running low on cash, or not a huge Spider-Man fan, rent it. It's at least worth that. I overall give it a 4 outta 5 totally. ^_^

Ok, I'm gonna post a LOT of information at once, but I'll give them headings so it'll be manageable, mm'kay?

1.Messing with the Title Screen

Pressing triangle- Turns the screen black, so only Snake can be seen fighting the soldier

Pressing L1-Changes the color of Snake and the Soldier

Pressing L2- Same as L1

Pressing R1- Speeds up the fighting animation

Pressing R2- Slows down the fighting animation

Pressing Left Analog Stick/L3- Changes background pattern

Wow, my first post in my first blog. Looks awesome, huh? Well the game tips will fly in soon. I'll start with the most popular franchises in gaming. I think there are search buttons on these blogs so the game you're looking for shouldn't be hard to find. Although most of my posts will be on games, some will tell you when new updates are coming, or if I won't be on in a while. Most updates will be on weekends, because it's the only time I have computer access (sorry about that). Well I'd best get to posting; there's so little time. Oh! I'd rather you not copy and paste my stuff (just tell your friend or friends to come here) if you absolutely must, PLEASE give the person a link to this site when you do paste it, or at least say "I got this from -the link-".
